Jamie’s Food Revolution: Rediscover How to Cook Simple, Delicious, Affordable Meals

jamieBy Jamie Oliver
Publisher: Hyperion

This book is awesome and you should have it. I’ll tell you why.

Long ago Jamie Oliver embarked on a mission to teach people not only how to cook but also and more importantly to understand food and its processes. Without glamorizing or trying too hard to be appealing, this book shows Jamie’s talent for simplifying explanations to prepare dishes in a minimum amount of time, usually with very simple equipment.

This book was made for everyday people that for some reason have never had had the need, confidence, skills, interest or will to cook for themselves and their family.

This book comes with a mission and that is that the owner has to commit to learn a bunch of recipes by heart and then share them with others to kick-start a chain reaction that will get more and more people cooking.

It comes with testimonies and pictures of people of all ages and occupations that have proudly taken their food and health back into their hands, it could not be more inspirational!

The recipes themselves are presented with great photographs, there are many descriptions of preparation steps and techniques, covering all, from salads, soups, mains, desserts and treats.

“learn & pass it on”.

This is a great example of how a talented and passionate chef has used his gravitas to incite change, empower people and make a real difference in people’s quality of life. I was lucky enough to be given this book as a birthday present but go buy one and give it to yourself… or to someone else! It is a great book, I myself have cooked dozens of its recipes and taught a few people how to do at least four different dishes.
